So What Are These Apparently Wonderful Online Entities Referred To As Blogs? A Blog Doesn't Actually Sound That Wonderful!
Blog - to my understanding is an anagrammatic acronym of Web Log. Blogs can go from simple diary-like entries to continuous or semi regular postings of related or diverse subject matter.
Please note, my approach for this post is for a guy much like myself.
Someone flooded by Blog this, Blog that and don't do that do THIS etc etc. When actually, what I have been trying to work out is really simple.
So what on earth is a Blog? Is there precise word count, layout or location for these apparently wonderful online entities? Can anyone do it and should they bother? What do they cost and how do you get paid from them?
Well, to tell you the reality, I am not at all certain. Thought I would point out that you are not alone!
While I am without doubt learning, I at all times take time to question if I am learning what I need to be learning.
By the way, I really should apologise right now if you came here for any answers, I am only eligible to ask at this stage. Having said that, sometimes being aware of the questions to seek can give rise to findings and, dare I say it, answers. I do not think that it could always be said that I am well defined in my communications. A recurring theme in the Blogging arena must be noted. Wordpress. Wordpress blogs are straightforward to setup. Wordpress itself provides the ability to operate a Wordpress Blog fully hosted, whereby you have customising access and not surprisingly, support. Always handy in moments of unexpected emergency that is!
You can host them on your lonesome, as all worthwhile hosting services allow you to install the script with ease. Within my working experience the setup and management was relatively easy, though cannot say with assurance that my approach was entirely accurate. I cheated here though. I found some genuinely good tutorial videos outlining the essentials very nicely indeed! Once again, I really need to apologise. I have failed to remember from whence they came!
